The CHCI Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) program is designed to teach students the basic nursing skills to perform clinical routines that are necessary to sit for the State of Connecticut CNA certification exam.

The CNA program requires 70 hours of classroom time and 30 hours at the long-term facility. You will have an opportunity to use your knowledge and skill in an active healthcare facility as required by the State of Connecticut prior to taking your CNA certification exam.
Upon completion, you will be prepared for employment in a nursing home, long-term care facility, hospital, home health aide agency, sub-acute rehabilitation, hospice, and other healthcare facilities.
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)

The CHCI Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) program is designed to give students the necessary skills and knowledge to sit for the CPT certification exam.

Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Patient Care Technician Training in Danbury, CT
The CHCI Patient Care Technician (PCT) program is an exciting opportunity for an existing Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) to further their careers in the health care field, or a completely new career path for those with no CNA background. The PCT program is designed to get students certified in Mental Health and First Aid, and provide eligibility to sit for both the ECG and PCT National Certification Exams.
The CHCI PCT program first covers the CHCI CNA curriculum and then incorporates additional health care skills, such as performing electrocardiography (EKG), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), basic First Aid, and blood draws.

The PCT program will consist of 187 classroom hours, 83 lab hours, and 30 clinical hours at the long-term healthcare facility. Students will also perform at least 10 (ten) EKG’s by the end of the program.
Upon completion, students will be prepared to work in hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, skilled nursing facilities, dialysis clinics, and other patient care facilities.
